Honduras Mission Trip

Honduras Trip  Oct.12th - 18th  2008

 Gordon Baptist Church and Christian School had an opportunity to send one of our members to assist with a medical clinic in Honduras in the month of October 2008. Brother Shane Minton had the opportunity to go and see the needs of the people of Honduras. He went to assist Brother David Perryman-Director To Central America for FBHM. They set up a Medical Clinic in 5 different areas throughout the northern areas of Honduras. While there, the clinic seen around 1700 Men,Women, and Children who came to the clinic and would stand in lines for hours just to receive medication's,eye glasses, and see the Dr. who went with them, but most importantly they all heard the Gospel Of Jesus Christ and The Plan of Salvation. During this week, they were 96 precious souls saved. Thanks to all of the people who helped support this trip and also prayed for the trip and the work.  Also while there, Brother Shane got to see the Childrens Home that was built and now has 48 kids in the home coming from broken families, parents wanting to sell their kids, homeless, abused, or just no longer have any mom or dad or family. These kids are supported by individuals, churches, sunday school classes, etc.  If you are interested in supporting any of this work please contact us. Honduras Mission Trip  Jan 24th-Feb. 7th

Brother Minton has had the opportunity to go to Honduras again this year and is hoping to go a couple more times this year. While there this trip, the team did medical clinics in several different areas. During this trip brother Minton got the opportunity to preach at the clinics and also got to preach in 2 different church's while there. They seen around 350 make a profession of faith during this 2 week trip. While there they also went into the villages and went soul winning, and also visited the childrens home in Milargo several times.
